I have no way of backing up my files on the sd card and was wondering if there was a way of selecting as card as the default for downloaded files or if I juat have to go in one by one and put my games and stuff that will transfer on it.
Apr 6, 25, , 13, It depends on what kind of files you are trying to set to download to the SD card. If you are talking just music, videos not including places like netflix , photos, etc. If the app you are using won't allow for that change, then you may need to get a different app to download through. However, if you are a talking apps being saved to the SD card, and run from it, well that is a whole other story. First, you need to be using a phone that is running at least Android "Marshmallow" or newer or be able to upgrade to it.
Second, you will need the instructions I am including below. And third, you need a phone that has not been restricted by the manufacturer from making this change. Which does happen. The update took about 10 minutes to install. I will say just from 1 day, it appears to be a much needed update. I have no more error messages, my apps are behaving like they used to and nothing has notified me that it has unexpectedly stopped working. Seems very stable so I say thank you to Samsung.
